Police in Medway are appealing for information after a dog mauled a goat as it grazed in the Darland Banks Nature Reserve.

We are keen to take the necessary steps to ensure that no other animals, or people, come to any harm. We understand that it is possible the Staffordshire bull terrier is a rescue dog.
‘We are working closely with the RSPCA and the Kent Wildlife Trust in relation to this incident and would ask people to contact the police if they can help us locate the dog and its owner.’
West Kent and Medway Warden for the Kent Wildlife Trust, Alison Ruyter added: ‘The goats at the reserve are cared for by local volunteers and this is a great setback for them.
