Former Medway cop takes on ultimate challenge for charity

 

An ex-Medway beat bobby is preparing for the biggest challenge of his life.

On, Saturday 24th May 2008, 41-year-old Colin Lukins of Rainham will be taking part in the Lanzarote IronMan Triathlon, a gruelling event which involves swimming 2.4 miles, cycling 112 miles and running a marathon (26.2 miles). Click Here for full story.

Pirates at Chatham! - The Four Winds Pirate Festival 2008

 

It’s swash-buckling fun for all the family at The Historic Dockyard Chatham on 25th and 26th May when the ‘Pirates at Chatham!’ event makes a welcome return for the fourth year running.  This year’s event is bigger and better than ever as Pirates, Soldiers and Revenue Men also gather for the annual Four Winds Pirate Festival!  The Festival, being held in Chatham for the first time, is the annual gathering in the south east of the UK Pirate re-enactors ‘Brotherhood’.
